Here are the 5 simple steps Sheryl Salis suggests one should follow in the morning, in order to increase their immunity:

MEDITATION 

Doing the ‘Balasana’ or the ‘child’s pose’ just after waking up helps relax muscle stiffness in the morning and improves the flow of blood to the brain. Perform this yoga asana while sitting on your bed, holding the position for as long as it is possible. Thereafter, sit upright and perform basic breathing exercises. It helps relax the mind and boost bodily functions after a night’s sleep.

OIL-PULLING

Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic technique that involves swirling cold-pressed virgin coconut oil in your mouth for about 5-7 minutes. This method is recommended by experts as the lauric acid in the coconut oil breaks through the fatty layer of bacteria in the mouth, killing them. According to the AYUSH Ministry, it is an excellent method to boost immunity if done on an empty stomach immediately after waking up.

HYDRATE

To detoxify your body, drink 2 glasses of water in the morning.
